We were walking through the grocery store the other day, and Marianne was skipping along while sucking on the drawstring of her shorts. I called out to her to stop doing that. I didn’t give her a reason why she should stop. It seemed obvious to me why a seven-year-old girl shouldn’t be sucking on part of her clothing.
Apparently we were not on the same wavelength. Her answer: “What’s wrong with it? It has zero calories!”
